Overall we had a very pleasant stay. The apartment is spacious and exactly as described in the listing photos. The bathroom was roomy with decent water pressure, and the kitchen is small but well equipped, with a working dishwasher, oven, and microwave. The location is excellent, on a quiet residential street with free street parking nearby, and it’s an easy walk to Praia do Vale de Centeanes, which is right by one end of the Seven Hanging Valleys Trail. We also appreciated having a dehumidifier, which helped keep the humidity down.
One thing to note is that the apartment is managed by a company and requires a separate check-in step before arrival, but it was straightforward and getting the key was smooth. If we were to nitpick, our only minor issues were that there wasn’t a frying pan, and one of the wall lights near the door wasn’t working, which made the main space a bit darker than we’d prefer. These issues can be easily rectified for future guests.Overall we’d happily stay again. |

Katharine was responsive and gave detailed instructions for everything. There’s a check in and registration form to fill in first, had missed that till the day of the check in, but Katharine was very accommodating, polite and patient about everything.

We were nicely surprised to have a distant view of the ocean. The apartment has everything one needs: dishwasher & a kitchen stocked with essentials to cook : Spices, olive oil. Laundry room, bathroom with spacious shower comfortable bed. I suggest a screen on the patio door to keep bugs & cats out & cleaning of the patio table would be nice. The couch is grey not blue as in pictures more importantly the cushions keep sliding off- uncomfortable couch. The directions & 2 addresses given were wrong & luckily our Uber driver knew the area. Furthermore the host gave us the wrong apartment number & we had to figure out ours was next door. The promised shade umbrella was missing: The host’s answer was that someone will come in the morning. No show! They offered transportation at double the price of Uber

We provide extremely comprehensive check in instructions once you have completed the online check in (required by law in Portugal). If you had completed this the arrival would have been smooth.
Organised taxis companies can be mroe expensive than offer but it is a choice every custmoer has to make. There is a lot to be said for the convenience of having someone waiting for you at the airport who knows exctly where they are going. We did visit you the morning after your arrival but you were not home. |
