Localizada na baía de Carvoeiro, esta villa recentemente convertida é realmente o local ideal. Embora a Casa Magnolia esteja no centro, a localização em si é na verdade muito tranquila. Originalmente construída em 1874 e utilizada pela "Elite" da época. Décadas depois, foi usada pelo presidente do conselho local como residência de férias. A casa foi transformada com decoração moderna, mas mantém características originais como vigas de madeira e janelas de escotilha. Existem três quartos, dois com belas vistas para o mar, todos com casas de banho em suite. A área de estar também tem ótimas vistas para o mar e abre para uma cozinha totalmente equipada e área de jantar completa com eletrodomésticos SMEG. Existe também uma casa de banho de serviço.
Portas de pátio levam a um pátio com cozinha externa embutida, área de jantar e churrasqueira. Uma pequena escadaria leva ao jardim e à piscina privada aquecida, equipada com espreguiçadeiras e guarda-sóis. Este é um lugar perfeito para relaxar, desfrutando da vista para o mar. Na frente da casa, existe um terraço adicional com sofá e mesa de jantar. Com ar condicionado, aquecimento da piscina e lareira, esta casa é perfeita em qualquer época do ano.

Casa Magnolia was exactly what we hoped it would be.
The villa itself was the perfect size, with 3 large en-suite rooms, lounge area and a large kitchen diner. There was also a utility with a washing machine and dryer and a WC.

The villa itself was the perfect size, with 3 large en-suite rooms, lounge area and a large kitchen diner. There was also a utility with a washing machine and dryer and a WC. The kitchen was well equipped with SMEG appliances and all the basics you may look for, salt, pepper, oils (welcome pack), dishwasher tablets, bin bags and coffee pods (one pod per person). Bedrooms were beautiful, all spacious, 2 with sea views, nice touch with miniature Rituals Shower Gel and Body Lotion, plus hairdryers. The outdoor space offered lots of options, at the front of the property you had a sofa plus a dining table, such a lovely breakfast space. The courtyard at the back was a lovely chilled space, with a further dining option where you could get sunshine or shade, time of day dependant. Up the steps out of the courtyard takes you to the garden area, the gardens are now more mature than the pool photo on the website, but this is more a positive and the sea view is still there. A small seating area to ensure there is some sun relief and a nice quiet chill out area. The pool offers great sea views and was extremely clean and the perfect temperature on arrival, pool towels are provided. Overall the villa was rated 5/5 from us, you really could not fault it. Location, just up the hill from the town square, perfect sea view location. Spar round the corner which is extremely well stocked with pastries, everyday provisions and beverages…… |

FYI - house is situated on top of the bluff overlooking the public carvoeiro beach. 5min walk downhill - is a bit of a hike back up esp in hot weather. Totally doable with kids - we had a 9 & 12 year old. Also had 75+ year old grandparents who did it without issues - if anyone has mobility issues, may pose a challenge. The smaller beach is accessible by a seafood restaurant located even closer (3min) by walking. Also accessible by flight of stairs. Size of garage will fit most cars. We had a Mercedes Vito van which required us to keep the door open when parked in order to accommodate the vehicle. Do not want to be blocking the street as it is traveled (albeit infrequently) by condo/apt residents and guests located next to casa magnolia. Pool was the perfect temperature - would recommend covering when not in use to keep the water clean and to preserve the temp. All in all a great stay! |

Everything was exactly as described inside with a lovely pool and plenty of seating areas to make the most of the day(and a nice touch of Rituals toileteries). Lovely and peaceful at the cliff top, 5mins walk down to the beautiful beach. It's easy to walk down to the restaurants and 5mins further up the hill to see the sun set. We contacted Katharine a couple of times and were very happy with her responsiveness. It's a stunning location and would definitely recommend at stay.

Elite staff were helpful in assisting us accommodate luggage after check out whilst we waited for late afternoon flights from Faro too which we were grateful for.

Superb location a short walk up the hill from the town. Easy walk in the other direction to the development with a well stocked Spar and various restaurants and cafes. The interior is very nice and stylish. Bathrooms have Rituals toiletries, a good & powerful hairdryer is provided in each bathroom. Kitchen has sufficient utensils for 6 people but could benefit from a few extras like Milk jug, salad servers, garlic crusher. The outside courtyard at the rear is basic with a large table & chairs and traditional style cobbles The BBQ is an electric hot plate. Up the steps the gravel path to the pool is a seed bombed / re wilded style garden area a little untidy in our opinion but we understand the concept. The pool really has only one decent side to sunbathe, two are inaccessible for loungers and one is rather narrow. Pool is a good size but is overlooked on one side from the rooftop terrace from the complex next door. The front terrace offers great views over the bay and opposite cliffs . People do walk past regularly so if complete privacy is your thing, sit out back. Be aware the house is attached to another house and not a stand alone villa. The garage is fairly small but a regular sized family salon car fits OK.

Stayed here for 2 weeks. Absolutely fabulous Villa, stunning views and all within walking distance to restaurants and shops (albeit a steep hill). The area is exceptionally beautiful and friendly and really would struggle not to recommend. Early check in facilitated, responsive service and a big shout out to the cleaning service - full clean after one week and towels changed mid-week. The Villa is very well appointed with everything you could possibly need with high quality appliances. Three really spacious bedrooms, all en-suite, and the outside space is spectacular with a front terrace, back terrace and upstairs pool area. Didn’t feel any need to heat pool - very warm if you cover when not in use - which also helps to reduce debris in pool. One slight downside - Wi-Fi patchy - but to be fair didn’t really need it as weather beautiful and seldom inside. All in all a lovely space, photos don’t actually do justice, can safely say, I loved this trip.

There are lots of excellent walkable restaurants that make the stroll home afterwards safe and pleasant. The villa is just like the photos. It is very well laid out and maintained. Beautiful cove 2 mins from the house which we had to ourselves for the majority of the time! House wise, it’s beautifully done and tastefully furnished, to a very high quality. Would definitely recommend.

A moradia de três quartos ocupa um grande terreno com piscina privada. O Vale do Milho é uma propriedade residencial em torno de um campo de golfe de 9 buracos par 3 e fica a uma curta caminhada da Praia de Centeanes. A moradia tem uma grande garagem privada com espaço para vários veículos. Existe uma cozinha totalmente equipada com área de serviço separada, sala de jantar e sala espaçosa.
Há um quarto principal com cama super king size (que pode ser separada, se necessário, para formar um quarto twin) e banheiro privativo com banheira e chuveiro. Há mais dois quartos, um com duas camas de solteiro e outro com uma cama super king que pode ser separada em duas camas de solteiro, se preferir. Estes dois quartos compartilham o uso de um banheiro familiar com box amplo. Todos os quartos abrem-se com portas de pátio para o terraço e área da piscina e têm amplo roupeiro e arrumação. Há um pátio interno com churrasqueira e área de estar.
Externamente, há uma piscina privada aquecida (extra opcional) de 9x4 metros e mais uma churrasqueira e área de estar coberta. A moradia é totalmente climatizada e tem banda larga de fibra ótica.
